Durability – The Tippmann 98 staff has often been compared to the AK-47 favorably for a reason. There seems to be almost nothing you can do to the marker that will not last until. Whether you drop your manufacturer, Kick It, or any other kind of hell your paintball game brings the scoring through Tippmann still working, well as the day you unpacked from its box. Most users keep their Tippmans by more than 3-5 years and only laid aside for a final score very high.
Reliability – Most paintball fields almost only rent Tippmann 98 Customs, and is not a reason for it. Not only are durable markers, but they are extremely reliable. This is also nice as you can have the opportunity to test one in your local area before deciding to acquire one. Most users report that this marker have never chopped a ball with this weapon. Sure, you can still break a ball in the barrel, if the diameter of the ball is not correct for the barrel of the gun, but the ball cut is virtually unknown in this Tippmann.
Maintenance and ease of Service – The Tippmann 98 Custom is very easy to strip and clean. If you are cleaning in the field, be sure to field strip your marker just as there are many small parts that could lost if it breaks completely. This marker is perhaps one of the simplest of all services to use. It should take about five minutes or less to strip the gun for cleaning.
