HPA/CO2 Question for tippmann 98 custom paintball marker?
I have a 48 ci steely HPA tank, just about to use it on my 98c. I want to use my old co2 in case I run out of air in the HPA because I Just play in the wooded area with my friends. I usually don’t go through 500 ball a day anyways but if I do, will it be horrible to temporarily switch to the co2? Thanks.
No – you can switch back and forth without any modification to your gun. As long as your gun isn’t constantly freezing up with the CO2, you wont have internal issues with your gun for a long time. Liquid CO2 is tough on parts such as o-rings.
Checkout this post by the Sniper Paintball Blog – it discusses some of the major differences between CO2 and HPA. It also says that in most guns, switching between the two is fine.
