Outdoor Fun: Enjoy the summer at home and abroad
each person's favorite time of year is finally here! After what feels like an eternity of cold weather, wet, gloomy, the sun has finally put in one aspect – a bit of novelty in the UK – so be sure to take full advantage of the high temperatures to spend time outdoors!
Even if you are not planning to go on vacation, no need to stay at home locked up this summer. A trip to the park, or by the sea, or a day in the field, are all great ways to enjoy the warmth and sun. And summer nights in the garden, with a dinner cooked on the grill and a refreshing glass of something cold and wet, is one of the simplest pleasures in life.
But the sun and rest are not everyone's cup tea … so here's a selection of our favorite outdoor toys – for children and adults – to help you enjoy a summer of fun if you go on vacation or spending the summer at home.
Spacehoppers
Bouncing in the garden this famous toy inflatable orange with a strange smile on his face was a favorite summer activity of thousands of children, thirty-odd years, in the days before computer games came and the lure us back inside.
In the 1970's Spacehopper was one of the toys most popular outdoor market. The modern version as fun as the original, with one small difference … also available in giant size, so that adults can relive their childhood for racing spacehoppers top and bottom of the garden.
The Spacehopper is more than a toy for outdoor fun, though … is also an excellent way stay in shape. So now you can have some outdoor fun and keep fit at the same time.
Splatter paintball gun
The Splatter paintball gun offers hours of messy fun, outdoor energy. No batteries or gas are required fire paintballs – which are triggered by a spring mechanism of high power, precision and longer range – the production of a symbol of satisfaction when the paintballs hit a hard object.
The paint is biodegradable and water based so washes. A cartridge of 10 paintballs supplied with the gun and fresh cartridges can be purchased separately. Glasses are also available, along with an easy-clean plastic target.
Kite Paragliding pocket
Even when the sun rises, if you're near the coast or up a hill that is just not enough wind to fly a kite.
If you do not fancy the idea of carrying a full size kite with you, then paragliding kite pocket is ideal. It opens to 50cm x 38cm, but is not sure enough small enough to fit in your pocket. Pocket Kite Paragliding is suitable for beginners and experienced kite-flyers, and has a single line with the handle and a multi-color tail.
Water Pumps
Enjoy water fights is something that never grow out of. The delivery of a torrential good – and the reception one – is the best way, no time to be raucous fun outdoors on a hot day of summer.
Water pumps – small balloons filled with water and thrown to the innocent victims – are one of the cheapest ways to enjoy a water fight. Can be thrown, which can be launched from an upstairs window, or can be fired from a slingshot Wild Solo – a high-speed catapult specially designed to shoot water bombs at high speed through a distance. Enough to set foot in the stirrups, the bag of balloons loaded, aim and fire – the delivery of a satisfaction soaking all who have the misfortune to get in the way!
