Help! My barrel of the paintball gun is sticky!?

I recently got a paint gun used. The previous owner had wrapped adhesive tape around the barrel. I removed the tape and was left with a sticky spot in my gun pretty unpleasant. How do you recommend that I clean it??

The safest and easiest way to remove any residue from the tape is with any of the many orange oil based products out there, go by names like "Goo Gone" are designed to remove sticky residue and grease. There is also another product called KRUD Kutter which is available at Lowe's or Home Depot, which works very well, too. The two types of cleaner technologies are safe and require little work, only some of the residual spraying, let sit for 5-10 minutes, scrub lightly with a soft towel scrubbie, soft brush or a toothbrush if needed and wipe with a sponge, cloth or paper towel or rinse with hot water. You may have to repeat if there is a lot of waste, but does the job and not harm your gun anyway.
